Jaculus, Here goes...

Name. Jaculus
Age. 19; mental/physical age of 17 in human years. I still don't quite understand the whole pony-human years thing, sorry. >.>;
Gender. Male
Breed. Pegasus (Volcano Order)
Appearance. Jaculus is a cross betwixt an earthling and an amphiptere (a winged, feathered snake). His body is covered with rich blue scales, and instead of a mane he has a sickly green feathery frill all around his neck ((I hope it doesn't seem like I'm ripping off AngelWings' Swan, I saw that post after I came up with this. @.@)). This frill extends down his back and ends at the base of his tail, where it also forms a kind of smaller frill around his tail ((kinda like Teddy's in the MLP Tales series... haha...)). His forelegs also have feathered frills just above the hooves, of the same sickly green hue. His eyes are brown, and his symbol is a green shard of jade ((let me know if any of you want to know why it's that...)). His wings are also the same color as the rest of his feathers.

Jaculus, being a snake/equine hybrid, also has other serpentine features. His tongue is forked and has scales covering his eyes, thus having no need to blink. He is not entirely coldblooded, but does grow more sluggish in cold and active in heat than most ponies. He also has fangs, but these are not poisonous. Jaculus is also a short, somewhat stunted-looking pony, smaller than most his (apparent) age.

Jaculus can't fly. He was cross between an Earth pony and an amphiptere, and so retained his solid bones. His wings are also too small for him to do more than glide, even if he was built like a pegasus.

Abilities.
Reaction time. Jaculus can respond to an action with extreme speed, such as dart his head out and biting someone. Likewise he can avoid blows aimed at him, provided it isn't directed at a portion of his body that simply can't be moved very quickly (ie, back).
Hypnotic. He can paralyze someone with his gaze for up to three minutes. If the victim's willpower is strong enough, they could probably shake it off after thirty seconds or so, but this is generally not the case. If Jaculus looks away, or something blocks his vision, the hypnotism is broken. Jaculus can only prevent the victim from moving around while they're in his hold, so they can still talk, blink, swish their tail... just not walk. Wearing sunglasses can also block this effect. xD

Personality. I want this to be clear, Jaculus is a coward. ^-^ Despite his powers, he is afraid of those with tough appearances, and will bend to the whim of someone stronger. That being said, he hates being a lackey, and if forced into servitude will try to find a way out of it. He has severe necrophobia; he is desperatly afraid of dying and of anything dead. The threat of killing him is usually enough to make him obey.

That aside, Jaculus isn't cruel or mean. He's usually in a state of perpetual annoyance (heh) and doesn't want to be bugged about anything unless it's small talk or gossip.

History. Jaculus was of course one of the many ponies the witches malformed and finally were defeated by. He was an idea to be a kind of armed messenger or maybe even an assassin, thus his small size and speed. He remained in the Volcano Order after the Awakening, not being bold enough to risk venturing outside. After a few months he began to second guess himself, due to the "random violence that followed for a few months after they were awakened" and his necrophobia issue. Nevertheless, he remained with the Volcano, darting about and trying to stay on everyone's good side.

I need you to pick venom or hypnoism for a power. Sorry he can't have both. Why? well if he hypnotizes someone and then bites them... we'll have dead ponies all over the place! No can do!

If you pick venom, I need his venom to be less fatal. I would accept him using all his venom up in one bite then it's fatal. Keep in mind though that you can intend to strike, or try and hit... it's up to the victum's owner to decide that you actually succeed. If you tend to kill an NPC that someone else has created please talk to them first (they might have plans that involve that particular NPC being alive) if you want to kill an NPC that you make... go right ahead!

I like the detail that you have added about his physical appearance and his personality.. very cool! I can see you've been doing you're homework on the VO, that's great!!

Okay, thanks Sider. x3; I was kinda afraid of him getting overpowered, though I'd not thought of the hypno + bite combo. D'oh. I think I'll go with hypnotism, more suited for his flight-over-fight... thing.

Congrats on your first character Yes now that you have an approved character you need ot make a Topic in the Active Characters section for your characters.

This is so when people want to learn about the characters you play they know exactly where to find the information, instead of having to swim through the chracter approval Forum.

Also, as for where to play...agreat place to begin would be here: Within the Tunnels of Mount Doom its the most active of the two VO RPs and best for him since he lives inside the mountain.
