Age: (22)

Gender: Female

Appearance (Colors, symbols, etc.) She is steel grey with black, dark grey, light grey and white hair. Her body is speckled with red flecks, sort of like what you would actually see coming from a metal forge, but only along her rump area.
The speckles are like sparkles (appaloosa style, but smaller like real sparks from a fire) just 1/4 the way up her back from the base of her tail


Breed / Species (if not pony): She's a Unicorn, and I was hoping perhaps she could have marcasite like eyes (even is she isn't an Ancient)

Family (if any): She has a brother, Cosmos

Brief History (if you want): She was nice once...She actually saved a couple of Bushwoollies from certain doom. She tells herself she wasn't being soft, that she saved them to work for her. She calls them Sparky (he caught on fire once!) and Scorch. Sparky is a maroon color, and Scorch is black. She has a shop near the Dream Castle, in one of the market places.

Special Abilities (if any): She can manipulate metal into shapes: say as delicate as a necklace, to pieces of armour. The metal pieces she would be able to form would not be able to be over 45lbs and 2 ft in diameter in solid form, so armour from her would be plate armour, pieced together, but it would be effective! Also, she wouldn't be able to manipulate metal from the ground or mountains, she would have to locate it, and mine it before she could start to manipulate it. Once it was exposed she could pull it out with her powers, but not thru the actual dirt or rock. Usually ponies bring the metal is brought to her shop, so she has no part in the mining or smelting, she forms it for a pony that has enough jangles. (She's a bit of a greed meister since she has a bit of a rare gift.) Her processing metal is at a molecular level (she doesn't change atoms into something else, she moves them, otherwise she's be changing iron to gold. Alchemy is not what she can do!) It isn't a very fast process. She could maybe do something big and simple in a day (say a plate of armour, or a head piece) But a necklace would take up to a week depending on the delicacy. It also depends on the purity of the metal. She would have to work impurities out first by by concentrating the metal itself away from the impurity (dirt, minerals). She would have to have someone else combine two or more metals, but once the metal (like steel) was created she could then work it.

Power: Metal smithing is a very complicated task, you may want to research it some and then flesh it out more. Some things to think about are:

What kinds of metals? (some metals are combinations of metals which would require smelting)
What is the weight limit?
Size limit?
How much can she make maximum in a day?
Since she's a pony, she'd most likely have bushwoolies or another creature with hands mine the ore for the metal work, I can't really see a pony using a pickaxe for long periods of time.
Where does she get the ore, how does she process it?
How does she transport the ore to where she works on it?
Where does she work on it?

Sounds very neat, we haven't had one before! Though, I'm not sure what the other mods may think on the concept, I like it. As an aside, since she works with earth materials, does she fly often? You may want to consider her being an earth breed or unicorn. But she doesn't have to be, this is just my own ponderings.

Age: we need a more exact age, for a G1 there are age restrictions. Age Charts

Appearance: The speckles, are they sort of like what you would see on a twice-as-fancy pony (like Dancing Butterflies) or more like glitter?

Members are really good about not using information from a character sheet "in play" unless it is given by the character/member. If there is no significant history to mention, sate that or just leave it blank.

Thank you for the information! I don't see any other issues. Also, as for Twinkle Eyes, there are those that aren't Ancient. SO sure she can have Twinkle eyes.

I approve and unless Cm's post wasn't an approval (which i think it was ) she's fit for play.

Woo hoo! *happy pony dance* Any Idea where I should start off? A village near to Dream Castle in Dream Valley?

Well that all depends. If you want to RP with others, you may want to lok over the acitve RPs. Also...I have a character that lives in dream castle, He's the castle's steward, if you want we could RP together. There is a war brewing so Forge's skills would be needed I'd think.

Hmm...I think it would be reasonable to say that the Queen would know of Forge's abilities and (or at least the military would know) and would have requested her presence for a meeting. Feel free to start a post, say in either 1) a waiting room or 2) outside the gates just arriving.

Heya Skyflier, Don't forget to create (or update) your Active Character List. That's the best way for other members to read up on your character to know what they look like etc.
