Phew! Alright! I've gone over the whole information document of the Druids and even read that thread "Finding History in Old Places"

It was rather interesting.
Actually, I'm a little confused about the powers. I'm assuming that Crying Cloud is a pony of darkness who was born into a Druidic Clan, correct? He's not an outsider who was adopted. The thing is that, in the original document about Druids, the comments about the ponies of darkness and their powers (and their not being able to learn druidic magic because of this) only refer to those outsider ponies of darkness who were adopted into a Clan. Or so it seems to me?
Anyway

I'm assuming that Crying Cloud was born into a Druidic Clan, and that even though he is a pony of darkness, he wasn't born with any special magical powers, so he's been perfectly able to follow the normal training and development of a Druid, and learn their magic. I don't believe this is a problem at all, really. Not at all. What we wanted to avoid was for a Druid character to be too powerful if said character could have both the powers of a PoD aside from his own learned magical druid skills. This is not the case of Crying Cloud, I believe he only has druid powers, so I'm fully OK with this. Just though of mentioning it.
However, I do wish to make some comments about his Druidic powers. Unless I'm mistaken, he's a weather adept. A rain dancer, correct? And he's in his pilgrimage, hasn't gained the ability to shapeshift into his spirit animal yet. But will do so in the future. Well, I've thought a lot about his cloud forming power, and his ability to make rain, hail or lightning fall from it. I'm perfeclty groovy with the first two, but the lightning strike seems, unfortunately, a little too powerful for me

Specially considering that you say all his powers are still at novice level? Does this mean he'll gain stronger powers in the future, aside from his ability to change into an animal form?
Anyway, let's see.

When I read that he can create a cloud as far as he can see, and make lightning strike at will (even if he can do it only once)...that seems to me like he has the power to kill a pony - any pony - instantly at will. Or even a small group of ponies. Or perhaps even a dragon. I'm not that expert in storm lightning, but the only ones I've heard of are deadly. Anyone close (not even directly standing in) the spot where lightning strikes would be reduced to ashes instantly. Well, maybe not to ashes, but you know what I mean. It would be instant death. I doubt even a dragon would be able to resist that. Even though I know there's a rule where we state that the only ones who can decide if harm comes to their chars are the owners, I'd find it really odd that any creatures, dragons or ponies, would be able to dodge a bolt of lightning falling on them. They'd have to move Superman like, at ultra hyper speed to do that. It would be very strange rping if you ever have a bolt of lightning fall on a char, and the owner of said char says "seeing lightning fall from the sky, he dodged it just in time".
I'm also thinking... if Crying Cloud were within sight range from, say, Dream Castle, could he make a cloud appear over the roof, make a bolt of lightning strike on it, and open a hole on the roof he could slip in through? Oh, ok ok, maybe lightning is not THAT STRONG

Anyway, I'd like a little more input on this specific lightning strike power before making a decision on it, Jennie. Like I say, the way I'm seeing it right now, it seems too powerful to me. Hail and rain are just fine. So would you ellaborate on this lightning power please? Maybe you want to make it just very weak lightning, or moving slowly?
I'll be waiting for your reply to give you my final comment!
