Hey everyone!!

whew, this one is a little more complicated than I had first planned, but it had to do with the creation of a tribe for her to come from. The only thing I can see that might be an issue is the wearing of pearls. I did show Sider my idea, and she said it sounded good and even gave me a slightly better one, so I think it should be ok. Just let me know if it sounds too far fetched.

Also, I know that she is in a tribe, but I am planning to have her kicked out/ runaway. I really want to find a friend and team up with them, atleast for a little while.

I really tried to do this one mostly on my own, so suggestions would be great. I did a lot of Googling and Dream Valley-ing today.

DETAILS

POWERS: Telekinetic. Can move objects with her mind. Up to 50 pounds.

PERSONALITY: Brittle Star is timid and shy with everyone, she's a loner, but not by choice. People tend to ignore her in favor of their own conversations. The only
time people even recognize her existence is when they need something from her, like one of her herbal pastes. And she cannot wait to get away from her father.

HISTORY: Brittle Star does not get along at all with her father, though her mother adores her. Her mother does seem to be the only one that notices her. Brittle Star's father has informed her that since she can't seem to meet a male pony suitable for marriage on her own, he will pick one out for her the next time they are in the capital. Brittle Star knows how unhappy her own mother is in an arranged marriage, so Brittle Star is certain that she will be miserable too, and that she probably will not be allowed to study her plants anymore.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

FAMILY: GrandMother is Sea Breeze, g1 pony died in great death. Mother is Sparkle Hearts,Daughter of Sea Breeze. SHe is a Black Haired, Dark Purple Pony
With Green eyes. Father is Cobalt Tear, a Dark Cobalt grey body, and a midnight blue haired Pony. Sparkle Hearts married Cobalt Tear due to an arranged
marriage set up by Sparkle Hearts brother after the great death, and so joined Cobalt Tear's tribe. Sparkle Hearts hates the idea that her daughter may also be victim of a loveless arranged marriage. Cobalt Tear is a hard, bitter pony, and only sees Sparkle Hearts and their daughter as a commodity.

TRIBE: Brittle Star is from the Ocean's Tears tribe. This tribe loves pearls (which they call tears of the ocean.) Most of the ponys in this tribe wear pearls anyway
they can. (examples : Most use the sticky innards of the Sea Cucumber to glue on pearls to their scales. Some members who have telekinetic abilites sell this service as the pearls are then put on in a design, most commonly a tear drop. Also, they could be strung on seaweed for a necklace or bracelet. (They would have to find damaged ones with holes in them and put them on the stalk before its cut one at a time with their mouths. Then twist it together and bite off the excess. They could also wear the seaweed in their hair.)

FRIENDS: none at this time

OCCUPATION: Brittle Star is still not an adult, so she spends most of her time learning about plants. She is experimenting with treating sick or injured ponyies
with herbal mixtures made by grounding up herbs through her telekinetics with rocks until its like a paste. She really only wants to spend all of her free time learning more about plants. Her father does not approve, and often destroys her experiments.

sea ponies are nomadic, so she doesn't have a home town.

Well this is awesome! I like this character she seems really cool. I like the background concept and I think you did a fine job of creating just enough information about her tribe and family to make her feel real.

I think the pearls is a cool idea. And I like how you describe the use of the sea cucumber!

The only thing I'm still a tiny bit unsure of is the body color. I'd like to see what a couple of the other mods think on that. (note to other mods: the body color seems to fit between #8-9 on the blue-green spectrum of the color chart.)

Other than that I feel she's good to go. So We'll wait a bit to see the thoughts of the other mods and I'll give my approval then. Shouldn't be long.

Can't wait for a new sea pony to RP with, the ocean's feeling a bit empty!

If you really think the color is too light, we can go up a shade. I thought it might be on the borderline, but I really thought it on the barely dark enough side. Oh well. Minor adjustment.

I would prefer that the body color be closer to #8 on the blue-green chart.

Other than that I don't see any problems with the character, history is nice and detailed... It'll e interesting to read how she gets away from her father.

If we can change the color (just slightly) then I can approve her.
